Frequently asked questions

Creating Your Account

  1. Navigate to the homepage and locate the orange "Create an Account" button in the top-right corner.
  2. Click the button to go to the registration page.
  3. Fill in your information:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address
    • Address
    • Create a password
  4. Click "Save" to submit and create your account.

Note: Clicking “Save” is the same as “Submit” — this action creates your account.

Linking to Your Band

  1. Once your account is created, click on your name in the top navigation area.
  2. Select "My Account" from the dropdown menu.
  3. On your account dashboard, navigate to "Linked Bands".
  4. Click the orange button at the bottom that says "Request to Link to a Band".
  5. Search for your band:
    • Enter your band name in the search field
    • Click "Find"
    • Click "Request to link" to send your request
  6. Tick to confirm your request.
  7. Wait for approval — the band admin will receive your request and can approve you.

Once approved, you'll be linked to your band. That’s it!

To join as an organisation, go to the Organisation tab on the membership page and click the 'Join now' button.

Choose the membership tier that matches the number of bands you wish to register.

Complete the checkout online and your membership will activate immediately.

Your band members do not need to buy individual memberships — they simply create their own free accounts and link themselves to your band once you are registered.

When you join as a Student Member, your confirmation receipt will include a link to a Google Form. This is where you’ll upload proof of your student status.

You’ll need to provide either:

  • A photograph of your Student ID showing your name and course dates, or
  • A letter from your university or college confirming your course dates.

Student Membership is free for those aged 18+ in full-time higher education and includes all the benefits of paid-for Individual BBE membership.

We’ll help you update your payment method securely and ensure your membership continues without interruption.

You’ll receive an email reminder before your renewal date.

If you’ve set up recurring payments, your membership will renew automatically unless your payment details change.

If you pay manually, simply follow the instructions in your renewal email to complete your renewal online.
