About this event
Join Regent Brass as they celebrate the music of Gustav Holst as part of his 150th anniversary celebrations. The programme will include two major works; 'A Moorside Suite', written for the National Brass Band Festival in 1928, and 'The Planets' suite, masterfully transcribed by Stephen Roberts. There will also be a chance to hear Imogen Holst's rarely-performed 1969 work 'The Glory of the West', as well as a new piece from Peter Yarde Martin for the event.
The band will also be joined by acclaimed pianist Peter Seivewright (https://divineartrecords.com/artist/peter-seivewright) to give a performance of Roy Newsome's virtuosic Concerto for Piano and Band.
