Sherwood forest Brass, a community brass band founded in 2000, by band president Stan Lippeatt as Thoresby Colliery Youth Band. Now known as Sherwood Forest Brass we are a independent organisation providing free musical opportunities in the Nottinghamshire Area for anyone wishing to play or learn to play a brass or percussion instrument within a banding environment. We are friendly band family with ages starting from 4yrs to 80yrs, with many of our youth members parents learning to play with them.
