The organisation is led by Professional MD, Darren R. Hawken and is made up of:
• St Dennis Band - West of England, Championship section - Darren R. Hawken.
2016 1st Section National Champions of Great Britain and are now established firmly in the Championship section. They compete annually at the West of England Championships, the WEBF at Bugle and the Spring Festival in Blackpool, playing in the Grand Shield for the first time in 2019.
In addition, they’re a busy band away from the contest scene with many concerts and social events throughout the year.
• St Dennis Band ‘Music Academy’ training band - Peter Jackson.
This is the first step for potential new musicians. Peter works alongside tutors from the Senior Band and the academy is the feeder band for the Youth ensemble. In June 2019 they took part in their first contest at Bugle and finished 3rd in the training section.
• St Dennis Youth Ensemble
A recently formed youth ensemble with more experienced youth members with the aim of performing at both concert and contests and becoming a hub for band excellence.
