Brass Foundations is Brass Bands England’s flagship education programme, bringing together musical partners to promote brass engagement and progression for young people in England.
Brass Bands England offers free staff support to support delivery of brass projects such as:
- Taster sessions and brass experience days focused on KS2 & LKS3
- Creating links to musical opportunities in the area and local community events
- Providing resources and schemes of work to support delivery of music curriculum and enrich ongoing activity
- Support in setting up brass after school and breakfast clubs
- Support in accessing and implementing the Model Music Curriculum and the National Plan for Music Education
- Support in providing brass ensembles to perform live in school through our #PromsInThePlayground campaign
Our staff have Enhanced DBS checks, and undertake BandSafe training to update their safeguarding knowledge, supported by BBE’s dedicated Safeguarding Manager. We have experience delivering in SEND-specific settings and supporting players with additional needs.
“Brass Bands England have been amazing in my school. They have worked with such energy and skill that the children could not help but fall in love with Brass. I can not recommend this highly enough.”
