Aged 18 or under? Join BBE and Nymaz for a special small ensembles masterclass with Flat Cap Brass, known for their exciting broad repertoire spanning brass classics to contemporary pop hits.
For young players aged 18 or under. This is your chance to virtually gather with brass players from across the county to work alongside the brilliant Flat Cap Brass Band.
Join us for this special small ensembles masterclass. Learn new skills, refine your technique and meet fellow brass players. This workshop will cover small ensemble performance, solo improvisation and arrangement in this special small ensembles workshop.
The day will offer the opportunity for young Brass players to work alongside Flat Cap Brass who are known for their exciting broad repertoire spanning brass classics and covers of contemporary pop hits, this bands enthusiasm, talent and skill is infectious!
This small ensembles workshop is special as we will also be opening up spaces for those who play percussion and saxophone to explore the opportunity of developing that funk brass sound!
This masterclass will be working towards the recording of a celebration performance of a piece chosen by the young people involved and will support and develop skills needed to arrange, perform and work together as a small ensemble to create this performance piece!
Big Brass Day is completely FREE and will mark the sixth event in a series of brass events over 2019-21.
All brass/percussion and saxophone players Grade 4 standard and over are welcome.
