Event description
This group training course will prepare you to plan and write a high-quality Arts Council England Project Grant. This course is ideal if you have a project idea in place, but need support in preparing and writing a suitable application to obtain funding to make it a reality.
What will the course cover?
Across the two sessions you will cover:
- Mapping out your project, exploring timescales and budget
- Navigating the Grantium submission platform
- Project partners
- Arts Council England’s Investment Principles
- Tackling the questions
- Delivering, evaluating and reporting on the project
Who will be delivering the training?
This course will be delivered by BBE’s Fundraising Manager Beth Lambert.
Along with the two 2-hour live training sessions on Zoom, attendees will be provided with a workbook and access to the training resources after completion. After the group session, all attendees will be offered a free review of their final application with feedback provided before they submit.
Why should I attend?
Arts Council applications can be daunting if you haven’t approached them before. This training course will:
- Give you the confidence to submit a high-quality application and support your knowledge for future applications
- Ensure your organisation is prepared to deliver the project you’re applying for
- Offer advice and support relevant to applications to other funders
- Network and gain inspiration from other attendees' projects
Who is this training for?
This training is ideal for anyone in your organisation leading on fundraising or project delivery. To get the most out of the training we would recommend more than one person from the same band attend the session. This small group session is limited to attendees from four organisations.
How much does it cost?
This training course is currently only available to BBE members, for £150 per attendee, inclusive of VAT.
You can join BBE for as little as £30. For information on joining BBE please visit our Join Brass Bands England page.
This training is delivered across two evening sessions (6-8pm) on Monday 31st March and Monday 14th April. There will be tasks to complete in between the 2 sessions.
