Event description
The world of social media can be a busy and ever changing place, especially as video content overtakes photo. Ahead of this year's Brass Band Week activities, we've partnered with Arts Council England's Digital Culture Network (DCN) to bring you expert help in promoting your band in reels, Tiktok videos and YouTube shorts.
In this session Dean Shaw, Digital Culture Network’s Tech Champion for Digital Content will show you how to capture, edit, and share high-quality video content using just your smartphone and free tools like CapCut.
What You'll Learn:
Smartphone Filming Hacks – Get the shot with what’s in your pocket.
Editing Made Easy – Use CapCut to cut, trim, add captions & effects in minutes.
Platform-Specific Tips – Optimise videos for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Boost Views & Engagement – Simple tricks to make your videos stand out.
This session is designed to help you turn simple ideas into scroll-stopping content – for free.
