Entry for the inaugural Youth Fest is now open.
Youth Fest is a brand new, non-competitive brass festival created by Brass Bands England (BBE), This new event endeavours to inspire and engage young people in brass playing in an inclusive environment, encouraging personal development and progression.
The inaugural festival, aiming to celebrate success and participation in music, will take place on Friday 28 June at the Barnsley Civic. Bands of all standards are welcome to play in the high-quality national event, promoting a standard of access and inclusivity in banding.
To ensure Youth Fest is as inclusive as possible, entry to the event for participating bands is free of charge. Places are limited and ensembles will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for bands to submit their application is Friday 29 March, or when available performing slots are filled.
Ahead of entering, bands are encouraged to download the Pre-Entry Information Pack to familiarise themselves with the aims and rules.
