This week the fourth episode of our new podcast series ‘The Brass Band Podcast: Archive Edition’ has launched. This newest episode focuses on the brass band dynasty of the Mortimer family, and the legacy of Harry Mortimer in instruments, music and contesting. The podcast is hosted by our CEO Kenny Crookston and COO Sarah Baumann who are joined each week by special guests and wonderful brass band music; in this episode they’re joined by Martin Mortimer, Philip McCann and James (Jimmie) Charles.
Sarah Baumann commented: “The podcast has been a fantastic way for us to celebrate and share some of the amazing items we have in the Brass Bands Archive and to bring brass banding to a wider audience. Whether you’re a seasoned brass band lover, or just getting started, it’ll be a great listen for you.”
