BBE is offering its member bands who are participating in Youth Champs 2023 the chance to earn back their entry fee for the event, due to take place on 25 March at Stockport Grammar School.
The participation fee is currently set at £25 per band for BBE members (£75 for non-members), and includes the opportunity to perform, listen to other youth bands and attend a range of workshops. BBE is offering £1 off per ticket for up to 25 audience tickets, covering the cost of the entry fee for its members. Savings can then be passed on to parents and supporters, or retained to support the band.
BBE have confirmed that performance places at the event are filling up much faster than in previous years, with half of the performance slots having already been allocated.
Alex Parker, BBE’s Relationship and Partnership Development Manager, and lead organiser of the event commented: "It’s great to see the enthusiasm of youth bands of all shapes and sizes who are eager to perform on the national platform that the Youth Champs offers. Both of our performance halls are going to be busy with bands and audiences. Any bands looking to participate, I’d urge you to register now and order your audience tickets as soon as possible.”
The deadline for band registration is 17 January 2023, or when places are filled.
Info session
BBE has expressed appreciation that the cost and practicalities of getting a group to the event can be both expensive and complex. An extra online information session has been scheduled for Tuesday 29 November at 7pm to provide support and advice on these matters as well as answer any questions about the event and provide an opportunity for discussion with other bands.
