In anticipation of the Brass Bands England (BBE) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17 October, we have been sharing the related infographics on our Facebook for the past few weeks.
These graphics break down BBE’s activity over the most recent financial year, from funding and turnover to membership. 2022/2023 has seen a period of growth for the team, with the employment of a new Safeguarding Officer and Fundraising Manager, in addition to a Projects Coordinator in education and outreach.
By the end of the most recent financial year, BBE was approaching our 600th member band! Last year we were also thrilled to host the European Brass Band Championships and accompanying festival, with 45 hours of wonderful brass band music, alongside our regular events programme.
Our projects and initiatives have grown, bringing training, support and performance opportunities to the banding community. This year's Youth Champs event saw a record number of participants, whilst the Brass Band Archive opened to the public for the first time in a special exhibition back in April.
