Making Music: could it be time to switch your Insurance package?

Tuesday, 22 October, 2024

As Brass Band England members you have free membership with Making Music, which includes the option to tailored insurance packages, provided by Covea Insurance PLC and arranged by their preferred insurance broker Finch.

The Insurance polices for Making Music members run on an annual basis from 1 January to 31 December. In previous years they have not been able to provide a quotation for an adjusted insurance premium outside of the annual renewal date which meant if your existing policy expired in the autumn, it probably wasn’t cost-effective to switch to Making Music and pay an annual premium for a few months of insurance cover before the annual policy is due for renewal.

But with their new preferred insurance broker Finch, we can offer a premium calculated on the number of months cover required up to the annual renewal date, so now might be the time to switch at a more cost-effective price.

The insurance packages are tailor-made for leisure-time music groups and can provide a comprehensive range of covers including Public and Employers’ liability, Directors and Officers Liability, event cancellation and property.

The packages can cover your rehearsals and events, protect your Directors and Officers, members, and the general public against adverse incidents that arise from your activities and for which your organisation is found liable.

As part of the partnership between Brass Bands England and Making Music, you have exclusive access to the 'Brass' package, designed to suit the insurance requirements of brass bands.

Details of the policies are below. If these covers and limits don’t meet your needs, Finch would be happy to discuss your requirements to arrange a bespoke package, including building cover (these premiums will be pro-rated too).

"The service we received for Making Music was first class. Making Music was efficient and thorough and had a package to suit our band’s needs at an extremely reasonable price" - BBE Member
