Following last month’s announcement of the theme and date for The Brass Band Conference 2024, BBE can now share that London’s China Exchange will host the event on Saturday 19 October.
Located in Central London’s Chinatown, the China Exchange is housed in the iconic BT Telephone Exchange and describes itself as a home for “ideas, discussion and creative expression.”
This year’s conference proved to be a roaring success, with participants calling it “informative and entertaining” and a “large and engaging event”. Those who were unable to attend, or those who wish to rewatch sessions, can find a range of recordings in the Member Resource Library.
BBE’s Chief Operating Officer, Sarah Baumann, commented: “Next year’s conference follows the theme of ‘Creative Communities’, so it was important to us that we found a venue that reflected this. The China Exchange’s location in the heart of the West End perfectly reflects the aim of the theme, which is showcasing the importance of bands within the fabric of their local and wider communities.
We’re delighted that after a number of years in the North we are bringing our Conference day closer to our Southern members. We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces there for a fantastic day of learning and networking.”
