This March will see the return of International Women's Day (IWD), which takes place annually on 8 March. To coincide with IWD our friends at Brass for Africa have launched a new campaign to #BreakTheBias and help bring equality to 250 girls across Uganda, Rwanda and Liberia by funding their music and life-skills education for an entire year.
How to support the project
You can take part and help Brass for Africa reach their target by by joining the Race for Equality either as an individual or as team. Why not take part as a whole band?
The campaign runs from 1 - 31 March and Brass for Africa have released details a month in advance so that bands can prepare and decide how they would like to participate.
The race doesn't need to involve running - you can walk, swim, hop – you name it. Bands, individuals and anyone else can take part from anywhere across the globe.
Together, the aim is to double last year’s target and cover 15,000km: the distance from the UK to Uganda then onto Rwanda and across to Liberia!
