Next up in the fortnightly Brass Bands England webinar series is an invaluable session led by Musical Director of Downshire Brass Michael Alcorn.
Using Downshire Brass’ entry for the Cory Band contest as a point of reference, this presentation will focus on tips and techniques aimed at maximising the quality and impact of online video productions. The emphasis of the talk will be on low cost technologies.
Michael Alcorn is the Musical Director of Downshire Brass, one of the leading brass bands in Northern Ireland. He has worked with Downshire Brass since 2009 and has led them in contest performances and successes in Northern Ireland, Great Britain and in the challenge section of the European Brass Band Championships. He has engineered and mastered 3 CDs with the band and produced a series of online weekly concerts with members of the band throughout the period of lockdown in the Spring 2020. Michael Alcorn is a Professor of Music and Dean of Internationalisation in the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences at the Queen’s University, Belfast.
This webinar will be delivered online on Tuesday 27 October at 7:00pm using the Zoom webinar platform so attendees can interact and ask questions throughout the session.
