You can become a member of BBE either as an organisation or as an individual
With members young and old, we all have on thing in common, and that is our passion for playing music. Whether during our practice evenings each Tuesday night at Union Corner Hall, on Eastbourne bandstand or in the middle of a field at a local fete, you’ll find us, above all enjoying ourselves and hopefully passing on some of our enthusiasm to those listening too. Our young players section too is growing from strength to strength, thanks to our recent partnership with Hailsham Community College and those members of the band and the college that support local practices.
Wealden Brass – Vacancy
Musical Director Vacancy – due to the forthcoming retirement of the current Musical Director
We are a friendly non-contesting band looking for a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious Musical Director. We have a strong membership of around 25 regular members and we are a busy band.
The band performs several engagements each year through the summer and Christmas season, including, regular fetes and an 1812 night on the local Eastbourne Bandstand. We cover a range of music from pop to some of the more traditional styles.
Rehearsal night is a Tuesday 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm. If you would like to find out more about the band take a look at our website.
