The band is a proud part of the small rural community in and around Kirkbymoorside - a market town (population approx 3000) on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Our history dates back to 1815 and our senior band currently competes in the Championship Section of the National Brass Band Championship. In addition to our senior band we have separate teaching ensembles catering from young beginners to adult learners. We own our own purpose built bandroom (constructed 1975) and The James Holt Concert Hall a 250 seat concert venue (constructed 2019), both located in Manor Vale Lane, Kirkbymoorside.
