Hear a record number of bands at Youth Champs as tickets go on sale for 2025 event
With just five weeks remaining until the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 2025, Youth Champs, prospective audience members are being reminded to secure their advanced tickets at the reduced rate.
This year’s contest, set to take place at Hymers College, Hull, on Saturday 29 March, will see a record number of bands taking part, with 40 bands across the event’s three sections. This includes the non-competitive Besson Prodige Showcase section, which this year welcomes a full roster of bands who are new to Youth Champs.
The Championship section will see the return of 12 high-achieving youth bands including last year's winner Wardle Academy, and the Yamaha Performance section is bursting with 21 bands ready to perform on a national stage. 1,223 young people are expected to take part, with 12 bands making their Youth Champs debut.
In addition to performances across two halls, there will be trade stalls to visit and workshops - led by BBE’s Brass Foundations team - for both attendees and participants to take part in.
