Overview
The team at Brass Bands England have experience of working in partnership with a range of organisations, venues, and bands, as well as delivering our own busy programme of projects and events.
In early 2022, we launched our Project Management Support offer, alongside our new Fundraising Service, both of which are open for our member bands to apply for at a subsidised rate.
One of our main projects of 2022 was supporting the team at the Brass in Concert Championship to plan and promote their annual event at Sage Gateshead in November, as well as deliver an accompanying Elementary Programme of education work.
This included project management support from BBE’s Project Officer Jess Wilson and a marketing strategy from our Marketing Manager, Clair Donnelly. With access to a fantastic team of talented education specialists, our Brass Foundations team were perfectly placed to support the practical delivery of a series of education workshops culminating in a concert at the Sage.
The project began with a scoping meeting to ensure that we fully understood the mission and goals of Brass in Concert and what they wanted to get out of working with BBE. We were there to support their vision and provide relevant skills from our staff team on the various areas of event management.
Impact from Project
We’re thrilled that the event received positive feedback from audiences and participants and that, at a time when audiences are still regaining confidence to return to large-scale events, 95% of tickets were sold. You can see some fantastic photos of the event on the Brass in Concert Facebook page.
